The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program helps employers hire qualified foreign workers who wish to immigrate to Atlantic Canada, and international students who wish to remain in the region after graduation.

There are three programs through which the employer can hire foreigners, namely:

• the International Graduate Program;
• the High-skilled Worker Program;
• the Intermediate-skilled Worker Program.

For each program, there are requirements that the candidate and the employer must meet. Before you make a job offer, the employer must be designated by the provincial government of
the Atlantic province where the candidate will be working.

After the employer makes a job offer, the candidate and employer will need to go through several steps. If both meet all the requirements, the candidate will be granted permanent resident status in Canada.
