2. Visit the United States for a specific limited time period not exceeding 6 months
This visa is valid for a maximum period of 6 months (exceptionally 12 months). If the beneficiary needs to prolong his stay in the United States, a new visa must be issued. The visa is valid only for the duration of the commercial or professional activity.

It is required to limit your business activities to those mentioned in the support letter which is presented to the Immigration Officer.
With this type of visa, you cannot carry out any sale in the United States. You may follow up on a sale (installation, maintenance, training, sampling, etc.), but the sale must be made in Canada (or any other country), namely by facsimile or other means. You may also act as a representative.
You cannot bring any merchandise to the United States, except for samples which cannot be sold.
The after-sale service must be carried out within the time period already determined on the sales contract as well as on the invoices. ALL SPECIFICATIONS MUST APPEAR ON THE INVOICE OR THE SALES CONTRACT.
Furthermore, only the merchandise and the pieces mentioned on the contract or the invoice may benefit from the after-sale service.
4. The individual cannot be remunerated by an American entity
This is the most important criteria of the visa. It is impossible to obtain a Temporary Business Visa for anyone who is remunerated by an American entity.
The temporary Business Visa confers the right to enter the United States for a short period; the maximum duration of a stay being 6 months or, exceptionally, 12 months. The holder of this visa must demonstrate his intention of returning to Canada.
